Who Am I?

My name is Jane Dough. I am in my 50’s. I want to chronicle my experiences of how I came about being diagnosed with Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL), my choices, and what I experience on a daily basis.

SLL is not life threatening and is treatable, however there is no cure. Taking a positive spin on things, I decided that I am not going to let this get me down! Nor should you if you have this too! Being positive, having daily affirmations, and holding my head high as I go into treatment and beyond, is important to me. My hope is to help at least one other person with this blog. If I can do this, well, then, I have set out what I hope to do: Help others as I help myself!

This is my purpose in life: To give to those around me all I have to give!

I want to share with you what I am experiencing, and have you share your experiences with me! None of us have to face this alone! So come along with me as I experience life with this challenge and the changes!

Hugs to everyone!
Jane

    • Thank you! Love the alien in your logo! Have you had “close encounters” of any kind? Not asking about beings that are native to this world! (..)

      🙂

      • Lol, no… It’s more of a play on John 17:16 where Jesus said He, and His followers, are not of this world. Thank you for your kindness. The banner took me a while to get “right”, so I really appreciate the compliment 😊!

      • Hee hee! The banner is really good! Maybe John 17:16 means that they are the aliens coming to earth to teach us important lessons, which they certainly did! 🙂

      • Lol, good guess… Jesus is praying to the Father concerning His disciples. It’s just before He is arrested and crucified and He’s praying for their protection. Because they we’re His followers, they we’re going to be considered outsiders, and would end up being persecuted. So He was praying, not for them to be taken out of this world, but for them to be given wisdom as He sends them into the world to share His good news.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kindness!!!!

Do you have thoughts to share? I would love to hear them!
